The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996), starring Geena Davis, showcases some of Walter's finest work in animatronics. One of the key scenes in the movie features three stunt deer that Walter developed over the course of several months: a 'stand up' deer (with a mechanical head), a 'floppy' deer (to be launched off a vehicle), and a 'full mechanical' deer (with opposable arms and legs). The mechanical deer were designed using pneumatics to minimize damage, making them easier for the actors to interact with in the scene.
